Self discovery

"All good work is done the way ants do things: Little by little."

-Lafcadio Hearn

"Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us. We need hours of aimless wandering or spates of time sitting on park benches, observing the mysterious world of ants and the canopy of treetops."

-Maya Angelou

Become a part of the AntFarm Community

2012 has started with a great deal of AntFarm activity. We are excited to be open and are thankful to Mayor Bill King and the Chamber of Commerce welcoming us with an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Axis Learning Center. The Axis Learning Center is the hub of tutoring and job skills development. It is exciting to see young people come in at all times of the day for learning.

Although we are officially open, it takes all of us coming together to build the schedule and our activities in a safe and sound manner, so come on in and share your talent. If you have had an urge or just a little curiosity to see the space, please come in and ask questions. Writing classes have started. Book clubs, spring gardening projects, outdoor activities… they are all being planned. The AntFarm Community is growing fast and we are very excited about the future!
